David Eby made his public debut as a cellist with the Pittsburgh Symphony at age 16. He studied at the Eastman School of Music where he received the Performer’s Certificate as well as his B.M., and continued his studies at Indiana University with Janos Starker. He has performed around the world with orchestras, ensembles, a musical storytelling troupe called Tales & Scales, and with the internationally known band Pink Martini. He joined Ananda in 1996, and has dedicated his musical abilities to working with Ananda’s music in the form of playing, singing, teaching, and conducting. His discography includes Mystic Harp 2, Secrets of Love, Surrender, and Relax: Meditations for Flute and Cello for Crystal Clarity Publishers. He resides at Ananda Village with his wife, Michelle, and daughter Caitlin.
